IMO it changes the status of the chip into a novelty item and it can never be removed. It’s still a chip anc not changed but not a chip because it has been made into say a keychain or paperweight. This altering it it’s reality into a not original form.
It doesn’t mean it’s not desirable or wanted and can still carry value and even more of course depending on rarity.
I really like that chip and have one of those also.
There might even be more of those than the original chips around, I don’t know ?
