Re: Jeff Laudeman's book...
In Response To: Capy Rix's DICE 1949 ()

Jeff Laudeman's book has a pair of Capy Rix's dice with the same wording, and it appears to be the same font and colors...but that pair has solid spots. Also, the pair in Jeff's book are crystallized.

The Olsen & Johnson book has a pair with the same appearance as the ones in Laudeman's book, plus another pair...the second pair appears to have the same wording, color and font, but they have bullseye spots...and not the same bullseye spots as the ones in your post. And they are lightly crystallized.

I wonder if Capy Rix's, only open for one season, would really have 3 different styles of spots on their dice?

I also wonder if the pictured dice, with no crystallization, are really over 70 years old? Not saying that it's impossible...but I've learned to be a bit skeptical...
