Works for that specific chip and others that are made with 2 metal discs, mounted back-to-back in the center of a chip. Regardless of the several different manufacturer proprietary names, CIC will cover all of them.

You also mentioned metal foil, which, in my opinion is not a CIC chip and in most cases is a stickered inlay.

But again, just my opinion.
