An old, early-1920s club that was probably a ~~~

~~~ private operation.
It was a gift from a casino family in Portugal in about 1994, with a handwritten note saying it was in the north. I guess North Coast on the Atlantic coast, since the name of the club was described as being "Club Atlantico" and the denomination is '1' and the monetary unit is 'Escudo.' I never found the exact location and I searched.
They were very kind to me with gifts and explained that some of the pieces are not in collections (that is when I learned that some casino owner/operators know more about us than we think they do) and it turned out to be correct information ... I only wish that I had taken photos as to how family participation was involved in the preparation of the presentations (where I envisioned a child being part of it back then), of which I have never seen, before, or since; except for a few days ago when I received a packet from a not-too-far away location and from someone unknown to me, which was prepared and affixed in the same exact manner as was what I noted above, in 1994.
Our hobby can be very well respected -- if we let it.
Spell "Club" with an E - "Clube" and some things
Yep. We did all of that for over 25 years.
