Desert Spa Las Vegas Casino History

Hope everyone has been doing well! Today's video is about the Desert Spa casino which was located in Las Vegas from around 1947/1948 until around 1958/1959. It originally opened up as a motel in the late 40s and would then have the opportunity to get transformed into a casino by a group of owners. They had two sets of chips one being the Langworthy Rectangle mold chips and the second set was the TR King company small crown chips which are my favorite versions of these chips. There was a bunch of behind the scenes stuff going on at the Desert Spa which not only delayed their process of getting a gaming license but then would ultimately lead into some big trouble. It would unfortunately go down pretty quickly after it got up and running because of financial trouble as well as trouble with different owners owing others money, plus getting sued multiple times. Aside from the negatives they had tons of shows and smaller local events happening there. I wonder what kind of an impact it could have made to Vegas if it would have been open longer. Today it's the site of a strip mall across the street from the Encore and Resorts World where you can find Tacos El Gordo as well as other shops! I hope you guys enjoy this video and maybe we can find some more information about it here in the near future! Have a wonderful day!
