Gaming's 90th anniversary

So today (March 19th), is the 90th anniversary of modern gaming signed into law in 1931 by
governor Fred Balzer. I haven't heard of any celebrations being held but in 1981 a banquet
was held the MGM in Reno which I remember attending (tickets were $50). There were a lot
of important people there including senators Howard Cannon and Alan Bible, Wayne Newton,
Debbie Reynolds, and Harvey Gross. The theme was "Silver turns to Gold" and I remember
a silver token being struck.
