I never made it into the Desert Inn but I used to stop at this roadside business on my trips to
Jackpot in the 70s. Ray King was Contact's first mayor elected in 1947. There were two Mills
slot machines where the juke box was located. It has since burned down. I also used to stop
in the Mineral Hot Springs Bar across the hiway. They had about a dozen old slots in there also.
