And yes, this one has a happy ending.
I found this Wayne Casino chip online and bought it from the vendor just before Thanksgiving.
Didn't hear anything for two or three weeks so I reached out and asked if the chip had been mailed yet.
The vendor responding by saying he'd mailed the chip on December 6th in a plain white envelope and he
provided a tracking number.
I waited another week or so then did a search on the USPS tracking number which showed the package
had been delivered to an address in Sacramento, California.
I emailed the vendor with a quick "wtf" - and he responded by saying the tracking information was obviously
wrong and repeated the assertion that he'd mailed the chip in a plain white envelope (which I thought was
kind of a strange non-response).
Since I'd paid for the item with a credit card I told the vendor that if I didn't have the item by the time the credit
card statement arrived, I would put the item in dispute with the credit card company.
The credit card statement arrived yesterday afternoon... and the chip (in a plain white envelope!) arrived today!
Interestingly, it was mailed first class with a single "forever" stamp and postmarked December 22, 2020. So the
letter took 32 days to get here (northern Virginia) from a New England state - and there was no tracking number
associated with it since it was a first class letter, not a package.
I had given up on the chip a couple weeks ago, so today's delivery was an unexpected, happy surprise.
