I have already been asked several times who am I supporting for the Club office of President and Secretary. The answer is simple. I am voting for Mark Lighterman for President and David Spragg for Secretary.

Mark Lighterman is one of the most honest and sincere individuals I have ever had the honor of knowing and spending time with. During many past club conventions, I would spend hours speaking with him about our club, its direction and what he believed to be the proper direction it should take.

His ideas have ALWAYS been sound with our organization being the primary focus of his suggested changes. His belief in “organization” governed by an effective board to implement sound membership suggestions and ideas is just one of his OUTSTANDING characteristics.

He is not afraid of change but yet realizes change has to be sound, effective and a method to achieve a desired result. Mark is a Charter member of our organization since 1988 and in, my opinion, will bring the qualities of sound leadership that appears to be currently lacking.

David Spragg has been an effective Secretary for our organization, which is why I believe we should return him to the position of Club Secretary. I believe he will work effectively with Mark Lighterman and move our organization out from the cloud that it appears to be situated in.

Spraggie, as I affectionately call him, cares deeply about our organization and will help make decisions with the board to once again improve our day to day operations and our vision for the future.

These are just some of the reasons why my wife and I will be voting for these two individuals. I hope those of you who care about our club give some thought to what I have written and support Mark Lighterman and David Spragg!
