I remember stopping at the Jubilee on trips between Reno and Carson City in the 60s and 70s.
By then all they had was a single 21 game and a couple of slots. Al Pagni was a Washoe county
commissioner and when he was up for re-election the 21 table would disappear! I never did see
it open and they kept their chips in large, ornate Chinese vase behind the bar. I remember
Al fishing out a few for me. All that remains of the place are two poles that held the sign at the
bottom of Washoe Hill in Pleasant Valley.
