I agree. SP was jabbing us at every possible point last time I was involved in the contract negotiations. The last one I was involved in the room rates were okay but they raised the fees on everything else - banquet, catering, etc. The last I had heard SP was disappointed with the casino drop during our conventions but don't know it that is true or not.

My original point was that for a convention using 21,000 sq. ft. we were not bringing a lot of people into the casino that week. I know some of the other events they have you see a stream of people going in all day. Not so much for ours. I also think that a lot of our members that are big gamblers stay elsewhere since they get free rooms or suites from their hosts. Over the years I have come to like SP more because it has decent table games, a nice assortment of restaurants and a great poker room. All they need is a water softener for their water.
