Chip ID - a puzzlement

The chips were ordered by Louis G. Parker in 1921. Parker was a businessman, not a chip distributor. He lived in the Cleveland Athletic Club for over 40 years (until he died in 1960).

I don’t know about poker but is was famous in the Whist and Bridge circles, so he was a card player.

Question: what does LGC stand for? Maybe LG’s Cardroom?
