Re: Borland chips still being produced?

I'm not sure, I guess it just seems like there are some sellers who have what appears to be an endless supply... but as you just kinda reinforced, I guess there are! Specifically, I have been seeing a few versions that are being sold in bulk on various retailers' websites, so I thought if they were still in stock in that magnitude then maybe they were still in production.

Where did those molds go, and how could one know that they aren't still being used? I have to admit I don't know much about how these molds & clay work, but I read how the original molds cost around $40k back then which is obviously a barrier-to-entry for anyone to come in and make a "new old mold" - perhaps even with different technology. I saw some Borland-looking chips on Alibaba which I assume are Chinese reproductions.
