The Epicurean...

According to Wikipedia: "The Epicurean" is the title of an 1827 novel by Thomas Moore about the
leader of the Epicurean sect in Athens in the 3rd century AD, his journey to Egypt and his search
for the secret of immortality.

"The Epicurean" is also the name of a famous 1893 cookbook written by Charles Ranhofer, chef at
the legendary (late 19th century) Delmonico's restaurant in New York City.

An epicurean believes that happiness is attained by enjoying the modest pleasures (food, drink, etc.)
available to us here on earth - which helps one find tranquility and freedom from fear.
