I always wondered why the spelling was changed from the original Farris to Ferris. I should have
asked Mike Lizanetz when I would see him in the 70s. I remember asking one of the owners, a
Mr. Hawkins, about old chips. They were all in the basement and he got me one of each. There
were probably seven or eight different chips some with mispellings. It was quite a haul for one day.
Felix Turillas had the place from 1956 to 1958. The series of postcards shows how the signage
was changed over the years.
