Weekend Finds at Kobey's San Diego

The Barona Pin Guy was back with four tables loaded with knick-knacks. I figured - had to have spotted every Barona pin by now. But, no!!! Found a few more - the Big Game XXXIX which would have been on Feb. 6, 2005. And the Great Lexus Giveaway. (OK, OK, the stupid car was left for too long in the Valet Parking Lot.)

Golden West Grand bronze pin from Harold's Club Reno dated 1969 - the event was a Trapshooting competition. Duck!!!

Bud Jones Sample $100 chip. Using Charles Kaplan's Chip Guide Detective Query Function, I found that this very same design was used at the Red Lion in Ely. CG 071166. Thanks, Charles! Gimme my Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker Hat & Pipe, please.

Oh, and also found some old player's slot cards. The vendor suggested he break them in half first. "Nnnooooo!" I yelled. "Some people actually COLLECT those old cards! There's no information on Prince Sewood that will be stolen, I promise!"

Only swap meet vendor I ever met who suggested destroying his merchandise before selling it. vbg
