Most cattle today are fattened on feed-lots where

they eat corn mixed with all sorts of antibiotics and hormones. Such cattle put on weight quickly (becoming obese) so they can be slaughtered at an early age. Cattle allowed to graze on grass don't put on weight as quickly, taking an extra year to reach the Time When They Meet Their Maker Behind The Blue Door. Supposedly such cats are a bit slimmer and the meat has a wholly different taste and texture. It is, however, more expensive to raise them and hence the higher price at the table.

Just give a MOO as it goes through YOU! Or - yes - order the shrimp and wonder . . . has it come from a Shrimp Farm or is it naturally caught? That's a whole other diatribe.
