...and if they are as early as I think they are, it would be in the period of when Celluloid, or a celluloied-type composition wasn't uncommon; late-1800's.

What I would love to know is why the two colors... and if it has something to do with placing the bet on the table where maybe each side color meant something; instructional. I also have chips from the same series where the color is solid... and also with the "10" denomination.
