The reason I ask, is because a few years ago I was doing an inspection at a warehouse where I so wooden crates of the glass and upon close inspection I noticed all the edges were unfinished... Several of the crates were open and I think the packing material was something like a synthetic straw, though not paper. The only reason I zoomed in on them is because I was in the kitchen cabinet and bathroom vanity business years ago where we wouod put a pencil edge on the glass shelving and mirrors and it wasn't fun handling that stuff.
