Went hunting on Catalina island with my dad in the early 50's. He was a Federal agent, and at that time it had a Constable, not part of Los Angeles County. The island was owned by Wrigleys as in GUM! We went by jeep early in the morning. I was about ten at the time. I have know idea what rifle we used. However; we shot two or three. You had to have permission to go into the back country. Years later as a Boy Scout at Emerald Bay the boars would come into camp to find food. They looked mean!

The boars were imported to Catalina by a movie company for a motion picture and the release to the wild. Last time I was in Catalina, was in the early 60's on my boat at the Isthmus, and Avalon.
