Also, any thoughts about the set?

The obverse fits well with the property name (Selva/Jungle) and even though it opened in 1931, MOP was still very popular in the Americas (Casinos/personal sets)... especially in Argentina and Uruguay; as well as Europe, of couse... and at sea as well... and, history does tell us that it wasn't uncommon for CARO to either sell and resell stock inventory sets which were in many instances left as is, resurfaced or simply shaved/ground... and, even if this were the case with this set, it would be quite uncommon to find such an inventory of this size with a currency unit such a $...

Otherwise, such sets of 700, 1000 and in this case, 2000 (originally, probably) were made in larger quantities and per obverses; used in different rooms/tables, where an establishment would have a few to several sets; furniture housed... even with central Roman numerals (alocation) engraved on the obverse.

I think this set is genuine; though not complete...

Btw, there are collectors around the World who would walk away from an incomplete set even if just one piece was missing... and past auction results show us this.
