Filings were either tungsten or brass.
No lead filings. Lead was in many of the colorants (just like it used to be in paint).
The amount of lead would have made zero difference to the weight of the chips. It was only measured at about 10 parts per million (safe level is only 4 parts).
I happened to see all the legal paperwork on the lead in chips issue as Paulson sent it to all their customers including Gene.
