Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) was a huge part of development (kind of answers the questions about my weird sense of humor and deadpan delivery). I've been following the guys since the 1990s and even went to one of their conventions in Minneapolis back in the late 90s.

It's where I got my love for almost unwatchable bad movies. Not "bad" in the way some movies just aren't good, I mean terrible movies with incompetent actors, boom mics everywhere, flubbed lines, sets falling down (think "Manos, the Hand of Fate" type).
