Interesting, Roy. Are you seeing an actual "die-cut" edge on what appears to be an inlay and, are the designs on each chip the slug composition or printed (do they have a die-cut edge, too)? If not, does the "white" portion of the chip appear to maybe be a pressed-on "overlay" that may be wafer-thin and not appear (feel) as being as thick as we know inlays being? Also, it appears that the white is in portions of the engraved design in some areas such as when an edge insert runs into the mold. I'm only asking because I can't see the edge. This is something that I have not noticed on a Carlo, or any other engraved design.

General note: The term "engraved" does not mean the finished chip was engraved; but rather the metal mold was made to produce an engraved effect..
