I agree that, it might be pushing, to call the Carlo design an actual mold. It was coded by Dale Seymour as an engraved poker chip design. It appears in chip catalogs from several makers before 1910. The 24 circle variation is the one I see stamped. Several clubs have used it. I guess it was a cost cutting move. There must have been some distributors willing to stamp the chips.
