Let me inventory your collection?

Please give me your honest feedback on this idea below:

After several conversations with collectors/sellers who admit they don't have their chips inventoried and/or they're not computer savvy and have to go by memory or a picture when people ask them if they have a specific chip (as opposed to looking up a CG or TCR#), I decided to float the idea of offering my ample computer nerd skills to those who might want to get an accurate inventory and book value of their chip collection. What I was thinking of offering is the following:

- Identify and inventory all actual chips and other ephemera (I can provide TCR 2020 and Nevada Gaming Tokens 2018, but you'll need to provide other necessary references)
- Cross reference TCR numbers with CG numbers
- If records (legible hardcopy) are provided, I can inventory past purchases, sales, and trades
- An overall collection valuation (per book value, not my personal opinion as I'm not qualified in that regard)
- Super speedy, focused, work and analysis and fast data entry (I doubt you'd find anyone faster)
- Super speedy lookup skills (online such as chipguide and/or using hardcopy references such as TCR)
- I'm an Award Winning Amateur Chip Detective (thanks to Charles Kaplan!) and wrote a followup article discussing my identification tips and tricks that will be appearing in the next CCA newsletter, I believe.
- I can input to your preferred software or if you don't have any, I will enter data into an excel spreadsheet template which can be used to import to other software programs later or used as-is. You choose the number of attributes you want me to record (the more you want, the longer it will take, naturally). I can advise/suggest in this regard to keep costs down.
- If you don't have a computer for me to enter data onto, I can enter everything on my own laptop.
- I can take high resolution front/back pictures of your chips using my 35mm digital camera to use as part of your inventory and if/when you list your chips for sale on eBay and other sites.
- Results provided on a USB drive and/or I can print it out when I get home and mail it to you.
- Willing to travel and be available to you over multiple days if necessary.
- Will work on-site so you can watch me work and not have to worry about theft, damage, etc.
- I get tested for COVID-19 antibodies every 8 weeks when I donate blood, which is a bit of assurance of my health compared to many others
- I own my own business (internet service provider), and have worked from home for 12+ years, and I limit outside trips during the current crisis, so I'm safer than a person with a "day job".
- I will work with mask and gloves, hand sanitizers, and so on without any issues.

Proposed compensation: As this should be a relatively short, one-time project for each client, I'm asking $50/hr in trade for rare Nevada chips from my want list (at low book value) if client has any to offer, OR $25/hr cash (or combination), plus per-diem if project lasts more than 1 day
Travel: I can drive (based in Reno NV) or you can prepay for my airfare and either pick me up and drop me off at the airport or reimburse for Uber/Lyft/Taxi or a rental car.

So, that's all just off the top of my head. Let me know what you think of the idea. Pros, cons, constructive criticism all welcome.

Thanks -- barry
