Re: What happens when you try to clean

This lunette shrunk before my eyes as the jeton was air-drying on a tea towel after being cleaned with water.... and the same exact thing happened with my Oostende CG095539, twenthly-eight years ago after receiving it in a trade from RMA.

I have cleaned Paulson litho inlay chips with water and after examination 20+ years later noticed the protective layer on 90% of those chips pop (warp and lift). Water can easily get between an inlay and slug if there is the slightest hairline crack/opening and do its damage.

I have peeled back the protective layer on BG plaques that were over 50 years old to find the pigment still wet (undried) after noticing movement below the surface in air pockets.
