I think TR King was using 1/4 Pie term way back.

In some of the older catalogs (which I pointed out to Gene early on regarding illegal gaming equipment, I called to his attention the c&s terms) they refer to many of the litho inlay chips as "crest or seal" as well as C&S.

I also have books published by club members where edge inserts are referred to as "water spots" and inlays as "inserts..."

I think it was Dale Seymour or Allan Myers (or both) who said, if we can stick with the terms the manufacturers used, then we will all be on the same page... grin
