I'm not angry.

Jim made a statement that I know to be incorrect. I'm suggesting that he lay out his facts to provide proof otherwise.

I am frustrated by what I perceive the "jumping on the bandwagon" and suggestions that the process is somehow corrupt / political because it's anything but.

All it would have taken would be to ask a question without all the posturing by those who seem to think that it's the committee's job to go over 30 years of history, remember every contribution anyone has ever made and vote them in. The Committee takes our responsibility seriously but our memories, even collectively, aren't THAT good.

The MEMBERSHIP has the opportunity to make recommendations - and with few exceptions, it doesn't. I have no issue with constructive suggestions but when the process is being attacked without reason I see it as an attack on something most members don't give a damn about or there would be input when it's time to recommend people for the honor.
