Around that time; 1965-1972, there was a ton ~~~

~~~ of silver (veriations of Sterling and .999 fine... and ever some incused 1000 fine) casino tokens minted that I hardly ever see today and, the only reason I can think of is that there were so few Americans collecting casino tokens back then when Europeans were otherwise very active, and when silver was doing its thing during the Hunt Brothers gig, lots of it hit the pot. Some of the boxed LV sets were beautiful, while depicting sports cars and casino façade, galore... years before our hobby was even organized.
