The Chateau

Inherited two large briefcases(one is shown here of the two identical cases) like these from my father who passed away in April of 2019 and was wondering potential value. I know the chips were manufactured C.K. Specialties out of Reno because from my limited research they were the ones responsible for the "horseshoe" design around the top diameter of both sides of chips and only that company did that. It is now owned and called something else but records aren't there I am told to identify the true identity of who placed the order when those chips were being made.

My Father was a bigger Gambler than any of us knew about but that's another story. He was still my dad and always took care of myself and my brother. I never saw him intentionally harm anyone. But enough of that to add he was also a very "close to the vest" person in his personal life and even less came out the last five years I cared for him as his Dementia became worse and so I know nothing of the history of the chips until I found those, fifty or so other single vintage chips, casino dice from now-defunct casinos, and a Pee Wee Reece signed baseball from 1958 with his only season as an L.A. Dodger (his 19th season before retiring after 18 as a Brooklyn Dodger. My Dad went to L.A. on a work/vacation trip with my grandparents who raised my brother and myself, and while there took in a Dodger game. Ball has two other Hall of Famers signatures on the ball and others that are on the team roster only in 1958) Kinds cool since there aren't a lot of balls signed by him in that era and his relationship with Jackie Robinson makes him standout.

I bring this up because my Dad apparently must have known about the notorious "Chateau" that was really a big thing here in the '40s through '60s finally closing in late 1989 and somehow he, and this is pure speculation, got ahold of their chips. Anyway, someone suggested I post here, so here I go. I am posting a link so you can see the chips from "Chateau" and others. Opinions and offers are welcomed.
