Before the tornado I had a bird feeder with sunflower seeds in it on a cedar tree near our back door. The tree is gone and the feeder I found on the side of the house. A few weeks later these sunflowers started to grow in the brushy/wooded "island" between our house and the neighbors. I found another one down the street next to a fire hydrant this morning. One small bright spot after a disaster.
