We have some very specialised people watching. I'm not an ivory collector.
But for me these are bone and not ivory. The typical graining of ivory is different.
If you want to be sure, use a very worn chip and put a very hot needle in the side.
If the chip melts, it's old plastic.
I have some chips looking like bone all the way but with the fire proof I noticed they're plastic.
