to see what happened. Saw a white car speed by. Two sets of neighbors also heard it and came running out, we all saw a plastic dam from a car on the curb. Apparently the driver tried to do a "doughnut," lost control, and hit the curb before running on out of here. We studied the plastic debris and determined the car was a Mercedes. (Plastic car parts often are stamped with both ID numbers and the make of automobile.) There was a trail of liquid on the road, possibly power-steering fluid. Since no other car was struck, we decided not to call the police. Went looking for an abandoned Mercedes on my street today (it couldn't have gone far with that leak) but did not find it. Bad Sadie!!!!
