LAKE TAHOE "Chips of the Day" ...
() HARRAH'S turned the building it into their Youth Recreation Center throughout the 60s'. You would be signed in by an adult and picked up by the same adult. I loved it and often spent 4 to 5 hours a night playing pinball with ashtrays under the 2 front legs. Even as a 13-year old I thought it was very classy for their youth center. It had a dance floor with cocktail tables, music from a jukebox, (playing all the 50s' and 60's hits), a full bar (severing sodas, juice & snacks), two rows with 20 pinball machines each, and a large theater continually showing youth movies and cartoons. It was not until many years later I learned it used to be a GAMBLING CASINO. It was a teenager's dream. That means I can say "I was in the Tahoe Plaza & Tahoe Palace building, had a drink at the bar, saw shows in their showroom, and danced with cute girls on their dance floor. I do LoVe Lake Tahoe. Having BIG fun with great memories, Steve.
