Classic/iconic Vegas hangouts and haunts?

For some of you that have been around Vegas for a while, or perhaps are Vegas history buffs, what are some of the clubs, bars, hangouts, haunts, etc. that come to mind when you think of the hippest or most storied joints in town? Whether or not they're open today is irrelevant to me.

For clarification, I'm not really looking for hotel/casino names as a whole - I know the Sands, Dunes, Tropicana, MGM Grand, etc. I'm looking for the names of rooms, bars, clubs, or other such social scenes that were either standalone properties, or possibly named sections of a hotel/casino property such as The Copa Room or maybe The Golden Steer Steakhouse.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
