I appreciate your posts about your trip. I used to live in Michigan during College years (even though I never attend any college) Those were fun years....no “real” responsibilities.
I do remember summers in Traverse City (said to be the Cherry Capital of the World). They would have a Cherry Festival every year. The city became packed with people. Great times on Lake Michigan.

Yuupers were people from the Upper Peninsula in Michigan and “ Fudgies” were the tourists that came for the summers.
