Yes there are legal problems. If we are associated with a local club whose members are all not club members and something bad happens we could be legally liable for their problem. The local clubs did not want to require their members to have to join the national club as well as the local club. I did not agree with the decision to remove ourselves from the local clubs but I do under stand the necessity of protecting the club and its 501c3 incorporation. Maybe someone who understands the problems better than I do will pipe in.
