Rich, If I remember right that sign was for the Shamrock bar that was located on that corner. It was all that was left
of the old Shamrock Hotel and they had a bunch of old photos and newspaper clippings hanging on the wall. I used to
like going in there and looking at all the stuff. The Shamrock pre-dated the Moulin Rouge as an integrated hotel.
Bandleader Horace Heidt was one of the owners at one time. I guess it was pretty popular with locals.
