Originally the Capooch Club from ‘32-‘57, The Thompson from
‘57-‘58, Desert Club ‘59-‘71, and then the Blackrock. Tom Jones
had the gambling at the Desert Club and later opened the Keystone
in Gabbs where he briefly used the chips. Regarding Davin’s in
Lovelock, it looks like it dated to the thirties. I remember talking
with Jack Davin in the 70s and he was quite old then. The bar was
connected to a store where they sold a lot of hunting supplies. There
was one “21” game in the 70s. I remember talking with the dealer
who used to deal next door at Felix’s.
