The Early Days Of The Hobby

Here are the booklets by Jim Gillette written in the mid-1990's describing the first thirteen hotel/casinos on the Strip. Jim was another hobby pioneer lost to history. Back then learning about Vegas history wasn't all that easy. The thirteen are significant as the last one (the Stardust) opened in 1958 and then there was a gap until Caesars opened in 1966. I'm always nostalgic about these booklets as they were a big factor in igniting my interest in our hobby. I think a complete set is quite rare and I'm hoping someday to donate the set to our museum.
