Yesterday's post on "pirate chips" brought to mind the Vikings... Scandinavian
explorers, raiders and traders who dominated large sections of northern Europe
from roughly 790 to 1110 AD... they sailed as far west as the coast of North
America, as far east as Russia, and as far south as the Mediterranean... the
Vikings were world-class warriors, sailors and navigators who developed the
most feared vessel of its day, the Viking Longship.
