I have found several websites that mention that casino dice are made to extremely tight tolerances (one site to 0.0001 inch, another 0.0005 of an inch). I trying to find out how they are made to such tolerances. I assume they start with a injection mold die that is slightly larger than the ending size and then use a lathe or polishing wheel (like the ones used to shape diamonds) with constant measurements (using a laser?) to insure perfection. But so far I have not been able to find information on the web. Does anyone have any insight?
