think that was reached by the MacArthur Causeway long ago. I never got to see the blimp up close, but remember passing by it several times. Not that it spent a lot of time floating around there! Usually spotted floating up the seacoast to amuse beach-goers young and old.

I also remember that when a hurricane was approaching, they had to quick fly the blimp someplace inland or up north. I guess building a hangar for it was too expensive? Although they had a blimp hangar near Redwood City south of San Francisco for quite some years.
