Sweet! When I lived in Florida, I had hundreds of

shells . . . my mother said to get rid of them all when we moved back to New York, and so I did. Waaahhh!

Now for the Question of the Day: If snails are color-blind - heck, some folks believe they cannot even distinguish shapes - how do they "know" to create camouflage patterns on their shells, or make beautiful mosaics of dots and stripes of many colors? They seem to have some control over their shell colors - "make a brown stripe this week and go back to white after that..."
