Nice. All rare, too (Here's why).
In Response To: Re: Quick payback ()

During a phone conversation with Tom S. when he was writing his first book and exchanging Playboy notes with him; I had mentioned that I knew for a fact how rare most of the obsolete casino pieces from the UK are and why... Though this is only one letter (others rest in collections) of destruction practices, there were some mentioning the furnaces, too, and while I went further, I had also mentioned that I had no idea of any laws pertaining to this other than first-hand information and, of course, mentioning there were exceptions (as we learned later on).

The rarity continued as the years past and through study I was able to determine what was rare and to move quickly when it crossed my path, thus affording me the honor to be able to add on to the best collections known worldwide... But, that wasn't the best part (yes, the $€£¥ were all good, it was when some of our best authors, historians and educators complimented me. So I just kept going like so many of us do and, of course, there were some bumpy roads to deal with as well.

Regarding the Penthouse piece; besides knowing how rare it was, I just had to share that with others here as to why... as I did with the Quints, Knokke and a few others (all in the same breath) which I stayed away from... though, when the Penthouse surfaced (and even though it wasn't a total secret), I made a post showing the listing starting at 550 quid which I figured someone would jump on. A day or two passed and while the auction was still ongoing, I noticed the plaque pop in at ChipGuide, thinking it would surely get the attention it deserves and, I even came back to the same thread mentioning this. Then, in my next visit to eBay, I see that there isn't any action and, since there were no bids, I decided to do exactly what others asked me to do whenever I offered the rare of the rare... and took it.

Yeah, it was a laydown, and at that point there wasn't any choice.

Good luck with your sale.
