From the title of this post, I am sure there is some disappointment in what I am going to ask on this board. Since, I have been a member, I have purchased chips from other members always expecting the same high standards in a chip as any collector would expect. As a collector, I don't think anyone on this board would offer a chip that was "not acceptable for his or her collection" to another member if the chip was defective and obviously so. Perhaps, my luck has run out on purchasing here or it was an oversight by the seller. Here's the scenario -- chip shown on Chip Board was only one side. When received, the reverse had a large portion of the insert ripped off -- making it trash to a collector. Please understand, I am not a complainer and have never been. Should the seller have showed both sides or made a reference that the chip was damaged? I paid a fair price for the item, but had no indication that the chip received would be in such poor condition. I have always heard about "buyer-beware," but no one would suspect a person who is a collector would do such a thing. I have seen posts of other sellers who always use descriptions to say if the color is not accurate or the scanner is not correct. Some time these nickel and dime purchases lead to disappointment when something like this happens. So, I am asking for a "friend" what would you do to rectify the situation?
