our favorite. The bacon-wrapped filet was our favorite and happy hour
daily double cocktails. We knew the owners back then, when we walked in the door he ordered our drinks on the house for us way back in the 60's, '70s and 80's. Stopped by recently, prices were four times, and the atmosphere not the same. Famous jockey George Woolf lived upstairs until his death in a race at SA. in 1946 ( called the ice man) When we lived in Arcadia I could hear the race calls. Now horse racing is a dying sport in Ca., attendance down, younger kids are not interested. Back East they have horse race with casinos that are doing very good. Ca. breeders are breeding 50 % fewer foals then 10-15 years ago.
