Answer about Dixie Duck

When Bill ran the Paulson Store in Hollywood Fl he kept a chip case wit hall of the samples sent to him. He only kept chips from Florida and those produced for customers in area as samples and used any others to hand out. He did not want the Florida/local area ones to get out. He did allow us to scan those from Florida for the books. Everyone was notched from the factory. When the place was raided and they closed down Bill decided to sell us the Florida chips that included land base and wet chips. In those chips there was 3 complete sets of Dixie Duck chips from $1 to $500 and one 50c and one roulette chip. Again all notched. We knew of at least three unnotched $1 chips in collectors hands and I have found 2 others since. The group from Ft Myers had only a few $5 chips and mostly $25 and $100 chips. WOuld have thought that if any other denoms were in that group then she would have sold them on ebay already.

So those notched chips were samples. We also found that the samples came in groups of 4 sent to him. That way he would have 2 for each side of the chip if they were different and 4 if they were the same. I am not saying that that was all that was made only what he received at that time. That being said we never could figure out why there was only 3 complete sets of the Dixie Duck chips (not 4) and only 1 each of the other two.
