The idea is to get people in the door.

We should know if a member is attending the convention for the first time. How… Add a drop down menu on our online registration that asks
How many times have you attended a convention?

The idea is simple, you give it out, get them hooked, charge for it the next time. Keep in mind, these are first timers… and they are
members, they likely don't know many people and they don't know what they are missing. If they have trekked it out to LV to attend
their first show, throw them a bone. They may even bid on something at the auction to return the favor. I'm trying to think down the road here…
We need to be proactive more that reactive.

The next year they should be contacted prior to the convention with a targeted email to remind them to remember to add the banquet ticket
to their new registration. This could all be set up automatically through a robust email program such as mail chimp or even lettermelater.com
You have a generic save the date and you have your mailing list generated by how people answer drop downs. It may take some time to set
up initially but in the end it will save time and make club member communication super easy and effective.
